Portable 3D Printer

Leave it to a few MIT wizards to create the worlds first portable 3D printer. PopFab, the name given to the printer by it’s creators, Ilan Moyer and Nadya Peek of MIT’s Centre for Bits and Atoms, is a brilliant device that can create 3D fabrications at the drop of a hat. Just think how much fun this could be for your next party… well, this, a crate load of tequila, and a body scanner. Apparently the design for PopFab came out of a previous attempt by Moyer to design a 3D printer for under £60 using widely available materials. However it has not been explained if this iteration will be as cost-effective, and not being an MIT graduate, our guess is that in ain’t cheap.
