The Yacht That Jobs Built

A little over a year ago news broke that renowned French designer Philippe Starck had been designing a luxury yacht for Steve Jobs. After nearly six years of construction the “iYacht” was captured on video in a shipyard in North Holland last week. Donned “Venus” the yacht’s design is inspired by Apple products and comes complete with a heavy helping of awesome technology. The hull is made entirely of aluminum with reinforced glass wrapping around the bow of the boat. The wheelhouse holds a row of 27” iMacs, which can help navigate the waters or quickly edit a slide show of the pictures taken from great seas. “Venus” is being shipped back to the US now and we’ll see what the future of the iYacht holds.
