Virtual Crowd Control

We pitched a great idea a few months back that would’ve given users the ability to control a giant crowd of people. With a little WebGL trickery and a collection of humanoid code-bots, we were aiming to virtually maneuver a crowd into doing exactly the user wanted. For this specific idea the crowd would spell out the users name and then form the symbol of the cause the were supporting. This was just a little test, and our plans were to have the colored bots living in a sea of regularly dressed humanoids, to make the visual evolution from the logo to name even that much more awesome. Sadly there were some changes at the CMO level for the client and the pitch was laid to rest. But here’s a damn cool visualization of what’s possible if you want to manipulate the masses.
